I've done probably over 1,000 check-ins with my team members over the last 15 years.
Here are seven questions I believe you can ask weekly to your direct reports or team members in order to quickly get a feel of their progress, morale, and overall feedback.

80% of product managers run discovery sessions wrongly.
Here are the 3 golden rules for talking to customers:
❌ Never mention your idea, feature, or tool.
🔮 Ask for specifics about the past, not about the future.
👂 Talk less, listen more.
PS: These 3 rules are the bread and butter of The Mom Test. Give it a read!18k

Our profit margins were around 50% up until 2019.
They have dropped about 20-25% since then.Back in the day, the company had little to no structure and we worked long hours.
In 2020, we invested heavily in creating a scalable structure to achieve similar results.
Yes, the profit margin has dropped but we all got healthier jobs and revenue has doubled.
In business, it's never only about the numbers. There’s always more to it. 💪12k

Product owner is a function, not a position.
The distinction between a PO and a PM is often done in contrast to one another.
But it's not apples to apples.
Product owner = a (scrum) responsibility.
Product manager = a job position.
Having separate POs and PMs is a recipe for disaster.
Wild that it's 2023 and this still happens 🤷73k

We’re 100% bootstrapped with $100k+ MRR.
Here is some advice I wish I had gotten and followed when we started:
1) Build the basics right, focus on reliability.
2) Kill one feature for every feature you add.
3) Think bigger.
4) Diversify platforms to reduce risk.
5) Bet on great content to rank on Google.
6) Focus on great customer support.
7) Fix issues immediately.
8) Things take the time they take.
I hope these tips will help at least one of you build a great product and business.

Hey 👋 I'm Francisco, the founder of Inkiro.
My journey with personal branding started when I decided to quit my job to build my own business. At the time, I was already using LinkedIn actively to network with founders and discuss product/growth ideas for their businesses.
When I quit my tech startup job in London, I took content creation more seriously and accepted the challenge of posting for 30 consecutive days. During this time, people started to notice me and I landed my 1st client: Rapha, Co-founder & CEO of tl;dv.
Since then, I have grown my audience to 10,000+ people and signed 20+ clients.
I find joy and fun in helping founders tell their stories and grow their businesses through their personal brand and content marketing.
Chances are you are reading this because you found me on LinkedIn.
What better way to show you it works?
Let's make it work for you too.
